SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia plans to commence nonstop flights connecting Sharjah and Gdansk starting Dec. 14, 2026. This new route will link Sharjah International Airport with Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, operating five times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The introduction of this service enhances the direct UAE connection to northern Poland and broadens Air Arabia’s scheduled flight network within the country. Ticket sales are already available through the airline’s sales channels for the new service.

Air Arabia sets December start for Sharjah Gdansk route
Air Arabia expands UAE-Poland links with five weekly Sharjah-Gdansk flights.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return, G9 0629, leaves Gdansk at 8:50 p.m., arriving back in Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the next day. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are scheduled to leave Sharjah at 8:15 a.m. Return flights will depart Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and reach Sharjah at 10:25 p.m. All listed times are local.

Once operational, Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah, joining Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport in the airline’s network. Additionally, Air Arabia will introduce four weekly flights to Katowice starting Dec. 17, 2026, on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. These new routes will extend the airline’s direct flight options to Poland beyond the two cities it currently serves.

Gdansk Joins Air Arabia’s Growing Polish Network

The Gdansk route forms part of Air Arabia’s broader European network from Sharjah. Its destinations include Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, and Rome. The airline has also announced additional routes to Frankfurt and Katowice. Gdansk provides a new destination along Poland’s Baltic coast, offering travelers in the Pomeranian region a direct scheduled link with the UAE via Sharjah.

Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, emphasized that the airline was expanding its Polish network by adding Gdansk. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, highlighted the significance of the direct Sharjah connection for the Pomeranian region, noting that Sharjah serves as a transfer hub to destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Gdansk Airport, serving the wider Tri-City area including Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, as well as other northern communities, benefits from this new route.

Weekly Flights Linking Sharjah and Gdansk

Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. Ticket bookings for the Gdansk route are now accessible via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies. The published timetable shows G9 0628 and G9 0629 operating on Mondays and Saturdays, while flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays are scheduled as G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. The five weekly flights ensure nonstop connectivity in both directions between the two airports.

The December 14 launch to Gdansk will occur three days before Air Arabia’s planned service to Katowice begins. With existing flights to Krakow and Warsaw from Sharjah, the upcoming additions will bring the airline’s Polish route network to four cities. Under the current schedule, Gdansk passengers will have five nonstop flights each way per week. As of Aug. 26, 2026, Air Arabia confirms the December 14 start date and the five-flight weekly timetable for the Sharjah-Gdansk route.
