    Scotland cause major upset in their Euro 2024 qualifier by defeating Spain 2-0

    Scotland produced a shock result in their Euro 2024 qualifier, beating Spain 2-0 at Hampden Park. Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay scored early in both halves to secure Scotland’s most famous win since 2007. Scotland now have a perfect start to their campaign, having won both their opening two games.

    Meanwhile, Spain made eight changes from the team that beat Norway 3-0 and failed to find the cutting edge needed to score goals. Despite dominating possession, they spent the final half-hour camped in Scottish territory without scoring. Scotland fans celebrated their most famous home win in 17 years.

The consumer price index rose by 1.3% from June, according to Statistics Denmark. Meanwhile, core inflation held steady at 2.3%, unchanged from the previous month. The primary contributor to July’s inflation was the hospitality sector, with restaurants and hotels making the largest overall impact, driven mainly by higher rental prices for holiday homes.
