AHMEDABAD, India / RankWire.AI / — The fifth Indian edition of the Investopia Dialogues attracted over 500 officials from government, institutional investors, and international business leaders to Ahmedabad, Gujarat, aiming to boost cross-border investments in high-growth sectors. The summit’s purpose was to convert the expanding economic ties between the UAE and India into concrete joint ventures and private-sector agreements, especially following the signing of the bilateral investment treaty between the two countries. Organizers emphasized that this platform acts as a key driver for fast-tracking cross-border funding in strategic industries such as artificial intelligence, sustainable manufacturing, and food security.

The gathering brought together key public and private stakeholders to explore growth opportunities in logistics, food security, advanced manufacturing, financial services, tourism, and artificial intelligence. UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri had discussions with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel during the event. The officials deliberated on expanding partnerships between Emirati companies and regional industrial hubs in Gujarat. Bin Touq highlighted that choosing Ahmedabad reflects the city’s status as a major industrial and economic hub.

Abdulrahman Mohammed Alhawi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Investment and President of Investopia, revealed that over 70 percent of total Gulf Cooperation Council investments into India originate from the UAE. He emphasized that nearly 4,000 new Indian companies became members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce during the first quarter of 2026. Alhawi also stated that the Ahmedabad-based Investopia Dialogues mark a strategic milestone by facilitating Indian companies’ access to global markets through UAE financial hubs.

Fostering Investment Flows Along Emerging Industrial Corridors

The event’s business impact was highlighted by significant corporate announcements from regional industry leaders. LuLu Group announced a 4,000 crore Indian rupee investment project in Ahmedabad, with Chairman Yusuff Ali M.A. disclosing plans for a 21-acre development featuring a shopping mall, a five-star hotel, and serviced apartments. The initiative is expected to generate over 15,000 employment opportunities. Additionally, the group is launching a food park and a fish-processing facility.

Participants from Marjan Developers highlighted the increasing involvement of Indian investors in real estate and hospitality projects. Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Saqr bin Omar Al Qasimi stated that Indian capital plays a crucial role in transforming Ras Al Khaimah into an international destination. Meanwhile, representatives from agribusiness firm Silal Group, including CEO Dhafer Al Qasimi, participated in sector roundtables to assess modern agriculture, cold-chain infrastructure, and supply chain resilience.

Boosting Private Partnerships and Technological Integration

Panel discussions focused on the influence of sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and private equity in financing large infrastructure projects. Attendees explored ways to streamline regulatory processes to foster capital movement into high-yield sectors. The dialogue on technology transfer emphasized building digital frameworks and accelerating artificial intelligence adoption within manufacturing networks. These discussions aimed to enhance the global competitiveness of both economies in knowledge-driven industries.

The event wrapped up with several bilateral meetings designed to finalize institutional agreements among participating organizations. Organizers affirmed that the platform will persist in hosting international dialogues in key markets, aligning private investments with macroeconomic goals. By emphasizing trade infrastructure, industrial technology, and joint ventures, the Investopia Dialogues initiative continues to facilitate stable investment pathways that support global economic growth.
